چکیده

عروس دریایی از جمله جانوران زهرآگینی است که سم آن موجب مسمومیت انسان می‌گردد. گونه‌های متنوعی از عروس دریایی در خلیج‌فارس یافت می‌شود. این گونه‌ها اگرچه موجب مرگ سریع انسان نمی‌گردند اما اثرات سوئی بر سیستم جسمانی انسان داشته و عوارض جانبی در پی دارند. در این تحقیق سم عروس دریایی Crambionella Orsini طبق روش Bloom استخراج‌شده و غلظت آن توسط روش Biuret و 50LD سم طبق روش Jung and Choi بدست آمد. با توجه به غلظت سم و50LD آن مشخص شد که ml5/0 از سم موجب مرگ موش می‌گردد. از Na-EDTA برای خنثی کردن سم استفاده شد. این کیلیت به دو طریق به موش تزریق گردید که در هر دو روش مانع مرگ شد. Na-EDTA یک کیلیت اختصاصی برای دفع کلسیم از بدن می‌باشد که با توجه به هسته کلسیمی سم قادر است آن را از ساختار سم جدا کرده و موجب خنثی شدن سم گردد.
